Tax Accountant

Location: Travel, including overnight travel, is required.

What you will do

• Prepare federal and state tax returns, tax return workpapers, estimated tax payments, and tax provision workpapers.
• Collect and distribute documentation with divisions and other departments for tax filings.
• Review general ledger accounts and process financial accounting data.
• Research tax laws, planning strategies, and other tax issues.
• Support federal and state income tax audits by preparing responses to inquiries and notices.
• Handle non-income tax filings, special projects, records of EFTP's, and related administrative work.

Requirements

• Experience with tax return preparation and tax compliance activities.
• Ability to analyze financial accounting data and review general ledger accounts.
• Ability to research tax laws and communicate legislative updates.
• Ability to travel overnight when required.
• Professional and ethical approach to business operations.
