Senior Software Engineer (Machine Learning)

Location: San Jose, United States; hybrid schedule with office work generally required Monday through Thursday and flexible remote work on Fridays

Salary: $369,750–$573,750 annual salary for California

What you will do

• Build recommendation models for video recommendations.
• Develop APIs for online recommendation model serving.
• Research and apply LLMs, computer vision models, image classification, and video understanding.
• Design semi-automatic annotation techniques for natural language understanding models.
• Retrain and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models using semi-automatically annotated data.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to launch research ideas in hirify.global products and document the work through design documents, demos, and presentations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Research Engineer, Technical Lead, or in a related position.
• Python programming and object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement, and deep learning, plus computer vision, natural language processing, LLMs, and common algorithms.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, SQL, version control, testing, and documentation.
• Knowledge of linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.
