Software Engineer (Roblox)

Location: Remote in Canada, Brazil, Mexico, or the UK

hirify.global is a remote-first gaming company developing large-scale Roblox experiences, including Driving Empire, for millions of monthly players.

What you will do

• Build, launch, and iterate gameplay features for Driving Empire.
• Own feature development end-to-end, from implementation through release and live iteration.
• Break product requirements into technical tasks and provide reliable estimates.
• Design scalable, performant, and maintainable game systems using Roblox Lua.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and producers to create high-quality gameplay experiences.
• Monitor live features, analyze performance, improve reliability, participate in code reviews, and playtest features.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of Roblox or relevant game development experience.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
• Experience shipping production features or games.
• Ability to work independently with moderate guidance.
• Strong communication, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with version control and collaborative development workflows.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Shipped games or features on Roblox or similar platforms.
• Game jam or modding experience.
• Experience with live game systems, analytics, economy tuning, or balancing.
• Experience optimizing multiplayer or real-time systems.
