What you will do
- Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of electron beam columns and electron-optical subsystems.
- Develop electron-optics architectures for semiconductor inspection and metrology systems.
- Model magnetic lenses, magnetic fields, and charged-particle trajectories.
- Use MEBS, OPERA, and Monte Carlo simulation environments to predict and optimize system performance.
- Work directly with hardware to diagnose electron column performance and correlate simulations with experimental data.
- Lead technical projects from concept through implementation and validation while collaborating with electrical, mechanical, software, controls, and physics teams.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 6 years of experience developing, designing, or optimizing electron beam, charged-particle, or electron-optical systems.
- Deep expertise in electron optics, electron beam column architecture, magnetic lens design, magnetic field modeling, and trajectory analysis.
- Strong experience with MEBS or equivalent electron-optics simulation tools and Monte Carlo simulations.
- Hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, and evaluating complex electron beam systems.
- Ability to independently lead technical projects and communicate complex technical concepts to multidisciplinary teams and leadership.
Nice to have
- PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in semiconductor inspection, metrology, microscopy, or charged-particle instrumentation.
- Experience using OPERA for electromagnetic modeling and magnetic field simulation.
- Knowledge of electron sources, beam formation, focusing systems, and detector interactions.
