TL;DR
Systems Integration Lead (Radar): Integrating radar technologies into air and missile defense system-of-systems architectures with an accent on systems engineering, requirements traceability, testing, and product evolution. Focus on coordinating Product Office integration strategies, managing technical requirements across subsystem boundaries, and communicating risks and recommendations to U.S. Army stakeholders.

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States. The role includes on-site technical support at U.S. Government facilities and 10–20% travel.

What you will do

  • Support capability roadmap development, systems integration, and testing for Product Offices within system-of-systems programs.
  • Coordinate with prime contractors on integrating Product Office products into the U.S. Army integrated fires architecture.
  • Represent Product Office interests in U.S. Army forums, working groups, and responses to requests for information.
  • Develop strategic plans for product evolution, future system integration, technology maturity, and technology insertion.
  • Coordinate technical requirements, performance documentation, systems engineering Integrated Product Teams, and working groups across subsystem boundaries.
  • Plan and report systems engineering and system-of-systems integration activities, including responsibilities, risks, findings, and recommendations for government stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or another applicable STEM field, with approximately 5–10 years of related experience.
  • Experience with systems engineering and data analysis methodologies, testing methods, requirements management, and model, simulation, and weapons-system traceability.
  • Understanding of physical optics, electromagnetic radiation, radar systems, and radar performance principles.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to absorb extensive technical detail, formulate solutions, and work to prescribed schedules.
  • Availability for 10–20% travel, subject to customer requirements.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or another applicable STEM field, with approximately 3 or more years of related experience.
  • Experience with radar hardware, radar architecture, signal processing, air and missile defense systems, flight or ground testing, modeling and simulation, or sensor performance analysis.
  • Experience with intelligence centers or threat systems analysis.
  • Knowledge of digital engineering, MBSE tools, and concepts.
  • Strong technical documentation, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
