Senior Associate Scientist, ADC In Vivo Pharmacology

Location: San Diego, California, United States; on-premise. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States. U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available. Relocation support may be available based on business needs and eligibility.

Annual base salary: $68,600–$114,300 USD, plus eligibility for a 7.5% bonus target.

What you will do

• Conduct routine in vivo oncology activities, including tumor measurements, body weight monitoring, clinical observations, dosing support, and sample collection.
• Assist with xenograft, syngeneic, and other oncology models under established protocols.
• Support studies evaluating ADC efficacy, tolerability, pharmacodynamic biomarkers, dosing schedules, and combination approaches.
• Prepare study materials, confirm dosing and sampling schedules, and execute work according to approved protocols and SOPs.
• Maintain accurate study records and communicate observations, technical issues, animal welfare concerns, and timeline risks.
• Collaborate with vivarium operations, pathology, bioanalytical, pharmacodynamic, pharmacokinetic, and project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, pharmacology, animal science, cancer biology, or a related discipline, or equivalent laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with rodent handling and in vivo procedures in a research, academic, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or contract research setting.
• Working proficiency with tumor measurement, animal monitoring, dosing support, sample collection, and study documentation.
• Ability to follow protocols, dosing schedules, sample collection plans, and SOPs with precision.
• Basic understanding of oncology pharmacology, tumor growth, treatment response, tolerability monitoring, and pharmacodynamic endpoints.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with ADC, targeted therapy, immuno-oncology, or oncology combination studies.
• Familiarity with ADC pharmacology, including target antigen expression, payload activity, linker stability, and exposure-response relationships.
• Experience with necropsy, tissue or blood collection, biomarker sample processing, or ex vivo endpoints.
• Familiarity with Studylog or similar electronic in vivo study management systems.
• AALAS certification or equivalent animal care and use training.
