Location: Hybrid, with available locations in London or Lisbon
Salary: €66,000–€91,000 annual salary for Portugal-based hires

What you will do
- Design, deliver, and operate software and platforms that advance 's observability capabilities.
- Solve scaling bottlenecks in critical metrics and alerting pipeline services.
- Build and operate highly distributed and scalable systems.
- Participate in knowledge sharing, mentoring, and a global on-call rotation.
- Research and introduce cutting-edge technologies and contribute to open-source projects.
Requirements
- Software engineering background and proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Go.
- Experience with data structures and databases, including TSDBs or columnar stores.
- Proficiency in distributed Linux environments and high-scale distributed system design.
- Proficiency with Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Thanos.
- Experience in fast-growing environments and 24/7/365 service operations.
- Knowledge of OSI Layer 2–7 networking protocols, internetworking, and BGP, together with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with high-bandwidth transit internetworking and routing.
