Software Portfolio Management Consultant (Software Licensing)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid work arrangement. A valid working visa for Romania is required.

What you will do

• Partner with procurement teams to negotiate and manage software contracts, ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and maximize client value.
• Act as the primary client contact and trusted advisor for software procurement needs.
• Lead projects from requirements gathering and process design through implementation, SLA development, tool integrations, and user training.
• Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement through strategic negotiations, benchmarking, automation, and process simplification.
• Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Manage software portfolio budgets, cost control, forecasting, and investment alignment.

Requirements

• Experience in IT consulting, software sales, license sourcing, or software asset management.
• Advanced project management experience and a strong understanding of software licensing models and supplier landscapes.
• Strong commercial negotiation, analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid working visa for Romania.
• Fluent or professional English, written and verbal.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
