TL;DR
Senior DevOps Engineer (Streaming Platform) (Kubernetes/Kafka/Flink): Building and operating secure, reliable self-service infrastructure for real-time stream processing across Grab with an accent on cloud orchestration, automation, observability, and platform engineering. Focus on supporting more than 1,000 stream-processing applications, creating reusable abstractions and libraries, and improving deployment, security, and incident response practices.
Location: Onsite at Vietnam office (CMC Creative Space) in Ho Chi Minh City

What you will do
- Build self-service platform capabilities that make stream processing easier, more reliable, efficient, and secure.
- Orchestrate and operate cloud infrastructure and compute clusters supporting critical services.
- Improve automation and self-service capabilities for more than 1,000 stream-processing applications.
- Contribute to platform architecture, infrastructure, observability, security, and reusable abstractions, modules, and libraries.
- Help internal users design and build real-time applications and promote the use of the streaming platform.
- Participate in on-call operations and evolve incident-response procedures.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud infrastructure at scale.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Golang, Java, or Scala.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform.
- Experience with observability and monitoring stacks such as LGTM, ELK, or Datadog.
- Strong English communication skills for collaboration with regional engineering teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with big-data systems, especially Kafka and Flink.
- Experience with AWS or GitLab.
- Understanding of Kubernetes networking, service mesh, and service discovery.
- Knowledge of security practices, secret management, encryption, OAuth, and RBAC/ABAC.
