Oracle System Administrator

What you will do

• Install, configure, administer, and control the startup and shutdown of Oracle databases in Unix environments.
• Manage users, roles, privileges, security policies, tablespaces, database growth, and capacity.
• Apply patches and version upgrades and configure instance parameters for basic optimization.
• Define, execute, monitor, and test backup, restore, and contingency procedures using RMAN or equivalent tools.
• Monitor database platforms, analyze performance, tune queries and structures, and resolve critical incidents including outages and data loss.
• Support development and operations teams and maintain technical documentation, manuals, checklists, configurations, and architecture records.

Requirements

• Official training in computer engineering, telecommunications, IT vocational education, or a related technological field.
• High level of English.
• At least 2–3 years of experience administering Oracle databases in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database installation, configuration, administration, tablespaces, users, roles, privileges, and security policies, preferably Oracle 12c, 19c, or later.
• Experience with RMAN backup and recovery, Oracle Enterprise Manager or similar monitoring tools, and Unix/Linux environments.
• Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, duplication, high-availability strategies, Oracle RAC, clustered environments, and performance tuning with AWR, ADDM, indexes, and execution plans.

Nice to have

• Experience with Prometheus, Zabbix, Nagios, Dynatrace, or other monitoring tools.
• Automation experience with shell scripting, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Experience with patch management, security patches, and Oracle version upgrades.
• Oracle or OCI certifications, including OCI Architect Associate, OCI Fundamentals, and Oracle Database Administration certifications.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary development, systems, security, and operations teams.
