Senior Financial Statements Accountant (Maternity Cover) (Fintech)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania; hybrid work with onsite attendance 2–3 times per week. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00. Work from abroad is available for up to 60 days per year.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze accounting and financial data, investigate variances, and provide insights to management and stakeholders.
• Review balance sheet and profit and loss accounts for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate period-end closing activities and deliver timely, accurate reporting.
• Improve financial reporting processes, controls, and reporting standards.
• Collaborate with auditors, finance teams, and business partners across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and experience with one or more local GAAP frameworks.
• Experience analyzing financial data and identifying trends, risks, and reporting issues.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good command of English.
• Already having the legal right to work in Lithuania without current or future visa sponsorship from hirify.global.

Nice to have

• Experience working in an international environment and across multiple countries.
• ACCA qualification or progress towards ACCA.
