Staff Software Engineer - UI Platform

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States; hybrid. Candidates must work on U.S. soil and be a U.S. person.

Annual base salary: $194,000–$267,000 USD.

What you will do

• Define and drive the architectural vision and technical roadmap for major UI platform subsystems.
• Build reusable components, shared libraries, frameworks, tools, and design patterns for feature teams.
• Review high-impact technical proposals and cross-team interface specifications.
• Align multiple product teams and translate product strategy into actionable architecture.
• Mentor Senior Engineers, share knowledge, and establish engineering best practices.
• Implement complex foundational platform components and maintain their technical quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong software architecture and implementation expertise.
• Development experience with Java, Python, or C++.
• Significant experience with Spring, React, or Node.
• Strong understanding of scalable and maintainable software engineering practices.
• Must be on U.S. soil and qualify as a U.S. person; working on a U.S. visa does not qualify.

Nice to have

• Experience with internationalization and localization strategies for enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with globalization, accessibility tooling, UI build tooling, CLIs, and design systems.
• Experience on a platform team that treats developers as customers.
