Principal Scientist, Hearing Loss and Vestibular Disorders (Biotechnology)

Location: Tarrytown, New York, United States; onsite

Salary: $128,600–$210,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead rigorous experiments in hearing biology supporting drug discovery and preclinical programs.
• Develop and characterize animal models to study hearing loss mechanisms and evaluate therapeutics.
• Design and execute in vivo and in vitro functional assays for syndromic and non-syndromic hearing loss.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on translationally relevant studies and analyze data for internal and external presentations.
• Draft and independently review research protocols and scientific publications.
• Motivate, develop, and supervise junior scientists, research associates, and trainees.

Requirements

• Ph.D. with a strong record of innovation and publication.
• 5+ years of relevant experience and proven expertise in drug development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicating effectively across all levels.
• Resilience, adaptability, and a rigorous approach to scientific research.
• Preferred: managerial experience, in vivo experimental experience, and knowledge of human and mouse genetics and/or auditory physiology.
• Onsite work in Tarrytown, New York is required.
