Security Automation Engineer (AI-SOC)

Salary: $152,000–$169,000 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Design and develop normalization, enrichment, automated triage, and response workflows for security detection events at scale.
• Build and operate SOAR workflows and integrations with SIEM, EDR, CTI, ticketing systems, SaaS platforms, and APIs.
• Develop LLM-based triage and analysis logic, confidence scoring, AI agent capabilities, and automated response orchestration for the AI-SOC framework.
• Design automated response scenarios in collaboration with SOC and Incident Response teams.
• Operate logging, monitoring, and incident response for security automation systems while improving reliability, scalability, and performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python development skills, including modular design, testing, exception handling, and code quality.
• Experience engineering security event processing, detection, and response workflows.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and CTI platforms, including customization, integration, and operational support.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks, JSON processing, cloud systems, preferably AWS, and Git-based CI/CD practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex production incidents.
• Ability to work in Seattle, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-SOC platforms, LLM-powered security automation, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
• Experience operating large-scale SOAR platforms and production automation workflows.
• Experience with Kubernetes and EKS in production environments.
• Experience with log processing pipelines, message queues, distributed infrastructure, and security operations dashboards.
