Revenue Recovery Specialist (Medical Billing)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Chesterfield, Missouri office, USA

What you will do

• Manage daily billing activities, including patient invoicing, claim submission, and payer follow-up.
• Post write-offs, submit invoices, generate patient statements, and manage outstanding balances.
• Set up patient payment plans and respond to billing inquiries from patients, clients, and insurance companies.
• Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
• Collaborate with coding, collections, and accounts receivable teams to resolve discrepancies and support revenue cycle operations.
• Assist with new billing processes, systems, and software upgrades.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in medical or corporate billing, revenue cycle, or accounts receivable.
• Familiarity with insurance billing guidelines, CPT and ICD-10 codes, and EHR or practice management systems such as Epic, Athena, or Cerner.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory billing requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
