Lead Engineer - Java Fullstack

Location: Hybrid in Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States, with an expectation to work from the corporate office 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, support, and enhance scalable technology solutions for Compliance, Supervision, Risk & Audit systems.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical designs, system specifications, interfaces, and implementation plans.
• Lead or participate in projects by assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring delivery.
• Develop new code or recommend reuse of existing components and technologies.
• Perform software testing, validation, documentation, and review of test results and remediation activities.
• Provide technical guidance, resolve programming issues, and help prevent rework and schedule delays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Python, and Angular or a comparable UI framework.
• 5+ years of software development experience in a financial services organization.
• Expertise with relational databases, including SQL, joins, indexes, and aggregation.
• Understanding of object-oriented fundamentals, REST and SOAP interfaces, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Saint Petersburg, Florida office three days per week; the role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance areas.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Glue, S3, or Terraform.
• Experience using AI tools.
