Senior IAM Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; role associated with Carmel, Indiana

Annual salary: $115,000–$130,000 USD

What you will do

• Design, integrate, and administer enterprise IAM, SSO, MFA, and PAM platforms.
• Build and optimize automated provisioning, deprovisioning, access-request, and identity-lifecycle workflows.
• Modernize identity protocols and deploy scalable access policies across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Provide tier 3 support, root-cause analysis, and technical resolution for complex identity and authentication issues.
• Lead access certification reviews, identity risk assessments, and compliance audit support across multi-cloud environments.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, IT Infrastructure, Compliance, and Security Architecture teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in IAM or IT security engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience architecting and managing enterprise SSO, MFA, and federated identity protocols including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
• Advanced directory-service administration and scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Demonstrated hands-on use of AI-assisted coding or development tools for scripting, automation, or documentation.

Nice to have

• IAM, cloud security, or vendor certifications such as CISSP, CIAM, Okta, Google Cloud, or AWS Security Specialty.
• Hands-on experience with Privileged Access Management solutions.
• Experience designing identity security solutions for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments.
