Site Reliability Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Location: United States; fully remote within the US

Salary: $250,000–$280,000 base salary, plus stock options and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead a small, senior SRE team and focus its work on high-leverage reliability improvements.
• Write production code and build automation, tooling, and self-service reliability workflows in Python, Go, or another modern language.
• Define service ownership, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, deployment safety, rollback processes, and service-health reviews.
• Run incident command when needed, drive verified remediation, and prevent recurring incidents.
• Design sustainable on-call coverage through staffing, handoffs, and automation.
• Partner with engineering teams and leaders to establish reliability standards and clarify ownership boundaries.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering foundation with the ability to write production-quality code and complete a coding assessment.
• Deep reliability experience with production systems and services at scale, ideally in consumer fintech or another high-availability environment.
• Experience from a high-scale engineering organization with a strong engineering culture.
• Recent experience managing a small engineering team while remaining technically hands-on.
• Practical experience with observability, alerting, safe deployments, automation, and incident command.
• Calm, credible communication with engineering teams and during live incidents.
