Associate Creative Director, Design (Motion/Animation)

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead ideation, design and creative direction across brand, campaign, experiential, content, digital and motion-led projects.
• Guide motion design, animation, CGI, VFX and post-production work from concept and storyboarding through final delivery.
• Develop briefs, references, storyboards and creative direction for internal teams, external artists and production partners.
• Partner with Creative, Production, Account and Project Management teams to manage scope, timelines, staffing and delivery risks.
• Present creative work to clients, support new business pitches and communicate creative rationale.
• Mentor Designers, Art Directors and junior talent while helping build multidisciplinary teams and external partner networks.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a creative agency, design studio, production company or similarly fast-paced environment.
• 4+ years leading significant creative projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong design and creative direction across brand, campaign, content, experiential and/or digital work.
• Demonstrated experience directing motion design, animation, CGI, VFX and/or post-production work is required.
• Strong understanding of animation and post-production pipelines, including scoping, briefing, reviewing and guiding specialist teams.
• Experience with client presentations, multiple concurrent projects, production partners and mentoring creative talent.
