Software Engineer (Anchor) (Machine Learning)

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan; travel of up to 30% may be required, including visits to China and the United States.

What you will do

• Design and implement machine learning, image processing, IC design analysis, and related algorithms for wafer inspection and metrology.
• Evaluate and improve machine learning training sets, workflows, and model performance.
• Compare and assess machine learning models for production use.
• Develop algorithms that improve signal-to-noise ratios in images captured under varied conditions.
• Work with local and global teams throughout product lifecycles and define performance specifications with product engineering.
• Provide technical support for product demonstrations, beta testing, and customer engagement projects.

Requirements

• Master's degree with no related work experience, or bachelor's degree with two years of related work experience.
• Ability to create new ideas, analyze complex systems, formulate mathematical solutions, and implement practical machine learning workflows.
• Experience or capability in machine learning, image processing, algorithm development, and IC design analysis.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in Hsinchu, Taiwan and travel domestically or internationally for up to 30%.
