TL;DR
Senior Solutions Engineer (AI): Designing and demonstrating KNIME solutions for enterprise data, analytics, automation, and AI challenges with an accent on technical discovery, solution architecture, and customer-facing technical validation. Focus on building proofs of concept, guiding SaaS and self-managed deployments, integrating APIs and identity systems, and evaluating governed AI and GenAI use cases.

What you will do
- Lead technical discovery to understand customer priorities, workflows, data environments, stakeholders, constraints, and desired outcomes.
- Develop technical strategies for sales opportunities, including solution design, stakeholder engagement, competitive differentiation, and evaluation criteria.
- Design and deliver tailored demonstrations, workshops, prototypes, and proofs of concept across data access, transformation, analytics, automation, AI, governance, and deployment.
- Advise customers on SaaS and self-managed deployment models, enterprise architecture, APIs, authentication, identity management, security, governance, and integrations.
- Guide AI and GenAI evaluations, including model and provider integration, retrieval and data access patterns, workflow orchestration, responsible AI, and operationalization.
- Identify expansion opportunities, support technical handoffs, maintain opportunity context in Salesforce, and share customer insights with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Solutions leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, technical consulting, data consulting, or a comparable customer-facing technical role in enterprise software.
- Experience leading discovery, designing solutions, delivering demonstrations, and guiding complex technical evaluations.
- Strong understanding of data integration, transformation, ETL/ELT, analytics, automation, machine learning, and AI.
- Familiarity with SQL and at least one analytical or programming environment such as Python or R.
- Working knowledge of enterprise SaaS and cloud architecture, including APIs, authentication, SSO/identity, security, governance, and integration patterns.
- Strong business acumen, presentation, storytelling, workshop facilitation, executive communication, autonomy, and multi-stakeholder collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Analytics Platform or Business Hub.
- Experience with Alteryx, Dataiku, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar enterprise data platforms.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience supporting enterprise security, architecture, AI governance, or value-selling processes.
- Experience collaborating with Account Executives, Customer Success, Product, and Professional Services teams.
