What you will do

• Translate and localize English subtitles into Spanish while preserving meaning, tone, humor, and cultural context.
• Adapt dialogue into natural, audience-friendly Spanish for television series, films, documentaries, and streaming content.
• Edit and synchronize subtitles according to timing, readability, and audiovisual localization standards.
• Perform quality checks covering accuracy, consistency, grammar, spelling, formatting, and client requirements.
• Use subtitle-editing, localization, and AI-assisted translation tools.
• Collaborate with project managers, editors, and quality assurance teams while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements

• Native or near-native Spanish proficiency at C1 or higher, including knowledge of regional variations and cultural references.
• Advanced English proficiency at C1 with excellent comprehension of spoken and written content.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Interest in film, television, streaming platforms, and digital media.
• Ability to work remotely from Poland.

Nice to have

• Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Philology, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience in subtitle translation, localization, transcreation, or audiovisual content adaptation.
• Familiarity with localization technologies and AI-assisted translation solutions such as Phrase or similar CAT tools.
• Experience with streaming services, media companies, or content localization vendors.
• Knowledge of subtitle accessibility standards and audiovisual localization best practices.
