Product Cost Accountant Consultant (Manufacturing)

Location: Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, United States; the role supports a large-scale medical manufacturing facility in Holdrege, Nebraska.

What you will do

• Support product costing and standard cost processes, including cost updates and rollups.
• Analyze material, labor, overhead, manufacturing costs, variances, and cost drivers.
• Support month-end close and related cost accounting activities.
• Partner with manufacturing, operations, plant, and finance teams on costing questions.
• Prepare cost analyses and financial reporting for management.
• Research and resolve costing and ERP-related issues while maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Experience in product costing, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance.
• Understanding of standard costs, manufacturing variances, and cost drivers.
• Experience analyzing material, labor, and overhead costs in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Excel, financial analysis, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with a major ERP system; SAP S/4HANA is strongly preferred, while Oracle or another major ERP is acceptable with strong product costing experience.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with plant and corporate teams.
