What you will do
- Prepare premium control reports, client audit documentation, payment allocations, and commission lists.
- Manage receivables by releasing draft bookings, posting bookings to the ledger, and maintaining accurate premium records.
- Validate financial ledger entries, allocate payments to the correct receivables, pair payments, and initiate corrections.
- Analyse outstanding and unsettled premiums, investigate expected-versus-paid differences, and resolve discrepancies.
- Settle broker and agent payments, including commission allocation and commission journals.
- Coordinate with account managers, brokers, agents, underwriting, partners, and Legal & Compliance on payments, audits, and AML-related discrepancies.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- University degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in credit control, accounts receivable, collections, financial data validation, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Experience in insurance or reinsurance, including familiarity with reserving and closing procedures, plus knowledge of Chinese regulatory reporting requirements.
- Professional proficiency in both Mandarin and English is required, together with communication and stakeholder management skills in multicultural teams.
