Senior Software Engineer - Wallet (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain services for wallet accounts, deposits, balances, cash movements, and payment flows.
• Build user experiences that help finance teams understand current and future cash positions.
• Develop capabilities for liquidity, funding flows, multi-entity operations, and multi-currency wallets.
• Contribute to accounting, segregation, reporting, and operational workflows for accurate and compliant financial services.
• Define robust architectures with clear domain boundaries, hexagonal architecture, and strong data consistency.
• Lead initiatives from discovery and design through implementation, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Fluent written and spoken English is required as the business language.
• At least 5 years of software development experience, ideally in a product-focused environment.
• Strong TypeScript expertise, particularly for backend development with Node.js.
• Experience designing and delivering high-quality, scalable products.
• Strong architectural knowledge, including microservices and maintainable system design.
• Ability to lead initiatives and contribute to product discovery, prioritisation, meetings, and squad rituals with a high degree of ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, payments, fintech, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with wallets, treasury, cash management, accounting, reconciliation, ledgers, or payment accounts.
• Experience integrating third-party providers through APIs, external services, and webhooks.
• Knowledge of event-driven systems, event sourcing, compliance, security, or banking operations.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, infrastructure as code, and international multi-entity products.
