Senior Data Engineer (Databricks)

Location: Poland; remote-first collaboration model

Salary: 23,000–27,000 PLN net per month under B2B cooperation terms

What you will do

• Build a cloud-based platform supporting the reporting suite and internal data systems.
• Develop incremental ELT pipelines with Python and PySpark.
• Improve the Delta Lakehouse for efficiency, throughput, and data quality.
• Implement data lineage, cataloguing, and governance practices.
• Enforce testing, CI/CD, development environment, code review, monitoring, and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with data professionals, provide engineering mentorship, and establish methodologies for data projects.

Requirements

• Strong Databricks knowledge and hands-on experience processing tabular data with tools such as PySpark, Pandas, or Polars.
• At least 3 years of commercial experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience integrating data from various APIs and working in cloud environments.
• Experience deploying production-grade applications.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and Bash.
• Fluent Polish at C1+ and strong English at B2+ are required.

Nice to have

• Previous Data Engineering or Software Engineering experience.
• Experience managing databases or data warehouses.
• Commercial Spark experience.
• Understanding of Terraform.
