Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Chicago or Peoria, Illinois; limited opportunities in Dallas, Texas. Relocation may be available.

Salary: $89,210–$144,960 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI-powered solutions for digital platforms, customer experiences, dealer ecosystems, and enterprise operations.
• Build and maintain mobile, web, cloud, and enterprise microservices.
• Develop APIs, Microsoft Fabric patterns, and AI agents using .NET skills.
• Create proof-of-technology and proof-of-concept implementations for emerging technologies.
• Develop Python data pipelines and investigate and resolve software defects using code, data-modification scripts, and SageMaker notebooks.
• Use generative AI tools for software development, information gathering, defect triage, and creation of additional AI tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, completed by the start date.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; internships, academic projects, research, hackathons, student organizations, and coursework are valued.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, without rounding.
• Knowledge of software development, software integration, product design and architecture, testing, and the software development life cycle.
• Experience or interest in Java, JavaScript, Python, Spring Boot, React, SQL, APIs, cloud platforms, and generative AI.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
