Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or remote within the USA

Salary: $160,000–$280,000 base per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and build agent-driven experiences for SOX control testing, defining where autonomy is appropriate and where auditors remain involved.
• Own complex, end-to-end workstreams across the full stack and ship production code from day one.
• Improve the reliability, repeatability, performance, and observability of long-running agentic workflows.
• Turn agent output into finished audit deliverables, including structured workpapers adapted to customer templates.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, SOX experts, customers, and domain specialists to solve complex audit problems.
• Shape technical direction for agentic systems, AI tooling, and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Production experience shipping LLM-backed product features to real users.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills with sufficient backend depth for agent orchestration.
• Ability to work autonomously from ambiguous specifications and take ownership of complex problems.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, design, domain experts, and customer-facing teams.
• Willingness to develop applied AI expertise, including writing evaluations and using LLM observability tools.
• Must be able to work remotely within the USA or from the San Francisco office.

Nice to have

• Startup, founder, or early-engineer experience and a record of taking 0-to-1 products to users.
• Experience working directly with customers.
• Background in internal audit, SOX, financial services, accounting, or compliance.
• Experience with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Python, or Temporal.
• Experience with document processing, PDF or Excel manipulation, or model-output evaluation frameworks.
