Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (React Native)

Location: Remote within the United States, with the option to work from the Ventura, CA office if local.

Salary: $185,000–$225,000 per year, plus commission.

What you will do

• Own driver-facing mobile features from problem definition through launch and post-launch measurement.
• Build and maintain the React Native driver application across iOS and Android.
• Develop offline-first functionality, background geolocation, and push notifications for unreliable field connectivity.
• Work with native iOS and Android code for location tracking, file uploads, background services, and performance improvements.
• Collaborate directly with drivers, operations, Product, Design, and Engineering to improve the driver experience.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues affecting application stability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production mobile applications across iOS and Android.
• Deep React Native expertise and strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of native iOS and Android development, including native modules and background services.
• Strong UI and design sensibility with the ability to take ambiguous specifications through pixel-perfect delivery.
• Product-minded ownership, including defining problems, working with affected users, shipping solutions, and tracking metrics.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with marketplace, gig economy, or logistics platforms serving a field workforce.
• Ownership of several large features end to end within one company.
• Full-stack experience extending mobile features into backend systems.
• Experience instrumenting mobile applications to measure post-launch impact.
