Senior Staff Penetration Testing Engineer (AI)

Annual base salary: $152,300–$246,400, depending on qualifications, experience, and work location. Additional compensation may include restricted stock units and a bonus.

What you will do

• Conduct penetration tests across cloud-native applications, large-scale infrastructure, and complex network architectures, including FedRAMP-mandated attack vectors.
• Execute multi-tenant isolation testing and segmentation validation.
• Identify, exploit, and document vulnerabilities in cloud services, container orchestration platforms, automated deployment pipelines, internal tooling, identity systems, and third-party integrations.
• Plan and lead assumed-breach, objective-based red team operations involving lateral movement, privilege escalation, and persistence.
• Integrate AI-assisted testing frameworks and LLM-driven automation into threat discovery, analysis, and exploit development workflows.
• Advise SRE and Engineering teams on remediation and secure architecture, develop custom testing tools, present findings to technical and executive stakeholders, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Expertise in penetration testing, red team operations, vulnerability exploitation, and security assessment.
• Experience assessing cloud services, container orchestration platforms, deployment pipelines, identity management systems, and network architectures.
• Ability to perform lateral movement, privilege escalation, persistence, and defensive-control validation during assumed-breach engagements.
• Ability to develop custom tools or scripts for offensive security testing and automation.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings to engineering teams and executive leadership.
