Intern - Economic Analysis (Fintech)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with two days per week in the office

A global automotive finance provider offering retail financing, leasing, and commercial lending solutions through relationships with auto dealers.

What you will do

• Analyze key metrics, large datasets, economic trends, and portfolio performance.
• Develop and maintain databases and support data collection for data-driven models.
• Assist with econometric modeling, model documentation, research projects, and strategy testing.
• Evaluate how economic, legal, and industry factors affect asset values and portfolio performance.
• Summarize findings, develop recommendations, and prepare presentations for internal clients and leadership.
• Partner with business leaders to communicate risk analysis and its business implications.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a master's degree or higher in mathematics, economics, data science, data analytics, information systems, or statistics, with at least one semester remaining at the internship start.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to business leaders.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, conceptual, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while prioritizing deadlines.
• Immigration-related sponsorship is not provided, including sponsorship or support for H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1, or similar work authorization.

Nice to have

• Previous internship experience.
• Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, evaluating AI outputs, and integrating AI into workflows.
• Knowledge of responsible AI use, ethics, compliance, bias, and data protection.
