Utilization Review Clinician - Behavioral Health

Location: Remote, Louisiana; candidates must reside in Louisiana and hold an active, unrestricted Louisiana license. Schedule: Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST; consistent availability for one designated schedule is required.

Salary: $27.02–$48.55 per hour.

What you will do

• Evaluate mental health and substance abuse treatment before, during, and after services to determine medically appropriate levels of care.
• Perform prior authorization and concurrent reviews for behavioral health services, including inpatient care.
• Assess treatment needs, member health status, and discharge planning requirements.
• Analyze behavioral health member data to improve care quality and service utilization.
• Educate providers, members, and families about the behavioral health utilization process.
• Discuss care levels with providers and present cases in staffing and integrated clinical rounds.

Requirements

• Must reside in Louisiana and maintain an active, unrestricted Louisiana license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school or a bachelor's degree, plus 2–4 years of related experience.
• Master's degree required for behavioral health clinicians.
• One of the following credentials is required: LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN state/compact licensure.
• Clinical knowledge of mental health and substance abuse treatment plans and utilization review processes.
• Must consistently work either Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST.
