Principal Researcher (Youth Development)

Location: Must be based in the United States (excluding U.S. territories).

Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead business development efforts, including writing proposals for federal, state, and local grants and contracts.
• Serve as principal investigator or project director for large, complex research and evaluation studies.
• Provide thought leadership and develop marketing plans to expand the youth development portfolio.
• Manage project budgets, quality assurance, and client relationships.
• Mentor junior colleagues on research methods, project management, and business development best practices.
• Collaborate across interdisciplinary fields such as mental health, juvenile justice, and social services.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a relevant field with 7+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 11+ years of experience.
• 10+ years of project leadership experience, including proposal writing and staff supervision.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Proven track record of winning competitive contracts and grants.
• Strong quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method research skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
