TL;DR
Principal Engineer (Flutter) (Flutter/Dart, macOS/Windows): Building and optimizing high-performance desktop security applications for millions of users with an accent on secure architecture, native platform integration, and polished user experiences. Focus on designing Flutter platform abstractions, tuning startup and rendering performance, and setting technical direction across desktop engineering.
Location: Hybrid in Frisco, Texas; must be within commutable distance and available for on-site work as needed. No relocation assistance is offered.
Salary: USD $149,610–$245,790 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do
- Architect, implement, and optimize high-performance Flutter applications for Windows and macOS.
- Write production code and lead critical technical implementations across the Flutter desktop stack.
- Define architectural standards focused on security, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Build secure integrations with native Windows and macOS APIs using Flutter platform channels.
- Improve state management, modularization, testing, CI/CD, startup time, memory usage, and rendering efficiency.
- Mentor senior engineers, lead design and code reviews, and set technical direction across teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with deep Flutter and Dart expertise.
- Experience architecting and shipping production Flutter applications at scale, ideally for desktop.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS application architecture, UX conventions, and accessibility standards.
- Extensive experience integrating Flutter with native macOS code using Swift or Objective-C and platform channels.
- Background in secure, testable, and resilient system design, including security, privacy, threat modeling, or defense-in-depth.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers, influencing across teams, and setting technical direction.
Nice to have
- Experience with Riverpod, Bloc, or Provider.
- Familiarity with Apple Human Interface Guidelines and macOS accessibility standards.
- Experience building applications used by millions of users.
- Familiarity with AI-based coding tools such as Claude Code.
