Engineering Manager (Search & Recommendations)

Location: Lund, Sweden. Hybrid work approach with on-site attendance at least three days a week.

What you will do

• Lead two Search and Recommendations engineering teams with eight engineers in total.
• Coach and develop engineers through one-to-ones, feedback, and clear expectations.
• Create the structure and working conditions needed to deliver high-quality software.
• Maintain accountability for delivery, quality, team progress, and customer value.
• Align priorities, scope, and ways of working with Product Managers.
• Improve collaboration across Engineering, Product, Support, and Customer Success, while contributing to shared AI and engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• Previous people-management responsibility and experience working closely with software engineering teams.
• Technical background in software development, QA, technical project management, or a comparable technical role.
• Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or another relevant technical field, or an equivalent technical foundation.
• Solid understanding of agile software development and experience supporting planning, delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to discuss complex technical topics without implementing them personally, supported by strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Professional fluency in English.

• Experience leading engineers working with algorithms, search, recommendations, data-intensive products, or other technically complex systems.
