What you will do

• Lead a Subject Matter Expert team within the MSAT Recombinant Mammalian Drug Substance Center of Excellence.
• Evaluate platform technologies including perfusion cell culture, continuous purification, advanced process analytical technology, smart manufacturing, and novel process chemistries.
• Establish innovation laboratory infrastructure and expand laboratory, automation, digitization, and pilot-scale capabilities.
• Manage strategic relationships and collaboration projects with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and research partners.
• Drive global MSAT innovation initiatives, knowledge sharing, technology transfers, and commercial program support.
• Mentor team members and build expertise and workforce capabilities for drug substance processes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in chemical, biological, or related sciences or engineering; PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in biologics drug substance process development, technology development, or manufacturing support.
• Experience leading bioprocess and biomanufacturing innovation from concept through implementation, with knowledge of upstream, downstream, stability, laboratory, pilot-scale, and large-scale operations.
• Experience across multiple modalities and with suppliers, contract manufacturing, or contract research partners.
• Oral and written fluency in English, with strong scientific communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
