What you will do
- Define and deliver the SEO roadmap for Sports Direct European websites with the Sports SEO Lead.
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues affecting crawlability, indexation, page performance, and organic visibility.
- Use local keyword research and search trends to guide content plans and localisation across European markets.
- Monitor SEO performance, traffic, rankings, revenue, and KPIs across EU markets.
- Produce performance reports, identify growth opportunities, and share industry best practices with internal teams.
- Manage an SEO Executive and collaborate with external SEO partners and cross-functional marketing and eCommerce teams.
Requirements
- Fluent English and fluency in at least one of French, Dutch, German, Spanish, or Danish are required, both written and verbal.
- Hands-on experience in an SEO-focused role, ideally in eCommerce.
- Experience owning SEO strategies that drive organic traffic and revenue.
- Strong technical SEO knowledge, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and performance optimisation.
- Experience with international or multilingual websites, hreflang, geotargeting, localisation, and translation workflows.
- Strong skills in keyword research, content strategy, reporting, performance analysis, problem-solving, and project prioritisation.
