Cloud Migration Engineer (AWS/Azure): Delivering enterprise-scale migrations of VMware-based workloads into AWS and Microsoft Azure with an accent on Windows Server administration, infrastructure automation, and IaC. Focus on designing migration strategies, executing cutovers, validating cloud environments, and supporting workloads after migration.
Location: Perth, Australia
Salary: AUD 800–1,025 per day

is recruiting for a cloud infrastructure contract focused on enterprise migration delivery.
What you will do
- Migrate VMware-based workloads to AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Plan migration strategies, target architectures, discovery, and technical assessments.
- Execute migration testing, technical validation, production cutovers, and post-migration support.
- Administer Windows Server, VMware vSphere, vCenter, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Design and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, PowerShell, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support migrated workloads across AWS and Azure.
Requirements
- Highly experienced Cloud Migration Engineer with enterprise-scale VMware-to-cloud migration experience.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, EBS, RDS, FSx, Systems Manager, CloudWatch, and AWS Application Migration Service.
- Experience with Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Azure Monitor, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Strong Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and/or 2025 administration, troubleshooting, automation, and migration experience.
- Ability to provide details of three relevant migration projects, including scope, tools, responsibilities, testing, cutover, and post-migration work.
- Relevant cloud infrastructure certifications or practical experience with AWS, Azure, VMware, Microsoft, Terraform, or related technologies.

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional.
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- VMware Certified Professional.
