Development Director (AI/Agentic Workflows)

Location: Hybrid, based in the Stockholm or Bucharest offices three days per week

What you will do

• Lead the operating rhythm across the ACE team area, including planning, sequencing, capacity, risks, dependencies, status, and decision flow.
• Partner with the Director of Engine Development and Technical Director as part of the leadership triad.
• Establish sustainable execution practices, including realistic commitments, clean handoffs, and consistent delivery across multiple quarters.
• Drive hirify.global-wide planning, capacity modelling, risk and dependency tracking, status reporting, and talent recruitment processes.
• Report on progress, risks, and opportunities while coaching development leaders across the three ACE sub-teams.
• Promote collaborative, inclusive partnership across Agentic Engineering, Data & Insights, and Documentation teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience leading delivery for technical teams and complex, multi-partner programs.
• Background in platform engineering, developer tools, or large-scale software environments.
• Experience establishing operating cadences at portfolio scale, including planning, prioritization, capacity management, and risk and dependency mitigation.
• Ability to provide credible status reporting to senior leadership and lead through rapid change.
• Strong partnership skills and the ability to negotiate resource and prioritization decisions across domains without direct authority.
• Ability to work from the Stockholm or Bucharest office three days per week in a hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI, agentic workflows, and developer productivity tooling.
• Experience in game development, game engines, or other large, long-lived codebases.
