Marketing Internship (NYSBA)

Location: Onsite in Colchester, Vermont; applicants must be New York State residents and/or attend a school in New York State.

Pay: $15.50 per hour

What you will do

• Learn how broadcast and digital marketing campaigns are constructed.
• Identify client needs, budgets, and suitable marketing channels for target audiences.
• Research marketing prospects online and learn research software packages.
• Support campaign reporting and management to help campaigns succeed.
• Work with Marketing Consultants, Sales Managers, and the station General Manager.
• Receive direct supervision and feedback on internship work.

Requirements

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Must be a resident of New York State and/or attend a school in New York State.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to research marketing prospects online.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Previous internship experience.

Culture & Benefits

• Paid fall-semester internship running approximately September 21 through December 31.
• Schedule of 2–4 days per week, with a maximum of 180 total hours.
• Practical experience in broadcast and digital marketing and/or sales.
• Direct and close supervision, training, and feedback.
• Internship participation does not guarantee or imply future employment.
• The intern is responsible for personal transportation.
