Registered Nurse, RN - M3 Medical Surgical (Medical-Surgical Nursing)

Location: M3 Medical Surgical, Main Campus at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, Massachusetts; onsite day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including weekends and holidays

Salary: $37.50–$68.47 per hour, based on full-time equivalent

What you will do

• Provide direct professional nursing care to medical-surgical patients and their families.
• Conduct and document clinical assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Apply nursing judgment, evidence-based practice, and research to changing patient needs.
• Manage patient assignments, delegate care appropriately, and coordinate with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families, support informed decisions, and develop discharge plans using community resources.
• Support new staff development through transition assistance, precepting, committees, and professional education.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience requirements depend on the career level: Level I requires less than 12 months of RN experience; Level II requires 12 months to less than 3 years; Level III requires 3 to less than 8 years; Level IV requires 8 years.
• Department-specific certifications may be required based on the patient population and care provided.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
• Ability to perform prolonged standing and walking, patient turning, and occasional lifting of 30–35 pounds.
