Research Fellow (AI)

Location: San Francisco office; full-time onsite for 12–16 weeks

Compensation: $50,000 for 3 months

hirify.global is an applied research lab developing data solutions for foundation model development and supporting frontier AI research.

What you will do

• Define and execute a full-time research project with an hirify.global research mentor.
• Formulate research questions, design rigorous experiments, and analyze results.
• Develop datasets, methods, evaluations, or benchmark assets for the project.
• Document methods and results clearly and make the work reproducible with research and engineering teams.
• Co-author a paper and work toward publication or a public benchmark.

Requirements

• Significant academic, clinical, legal, or industry research experience.
• A PhD, MD, JD, or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant field.
• Strong technical communication and scientific writing skills.
• A strong research or publication record and the ability to take projects from initial scoping to rigorous, reproducible results.
• Interest in advancing frontier AI and some understanding of model evaluation.
• Availability to work full time onsite in San Francisco for 12–16 weeks.

Nice to have

• Research publications at leading conferences or peer-reviewed journals.
• Domain expertise in medicine, finance, law, STEM, or another relevant specialized field.
