2027 Supply Chain Buyer Intern - Bachelor's (Costa Rica)

What you will do

• Support procurement and purchasing activities for timely material delivery to factories while meeting cost and quality targets.
• Complete supplier requests for quotations, prepare supplier profiles, and support supplier meetings, presentations, business reviews, and capacity reviews.
• Create, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders based on MRP requirements; track supplier material status and expedite deliveries.
• Resolve purchase order, invoice, and receipt discrepancies with Accounts Payable.
• Identify alternate or emergency material sources and mitigate excess purchase orders and inventory through supplier negotiations.
• Perform part, MRP, and spend analytics and develop automated tools for KPI tracking and compliance.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related major.
• Good academic standing; a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
• Creative and analytical problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent listening, writing, quantitative, qualitative, and oral communication skills.
• Data analytics skills, including advanced Excel and working with multiple datasets.
• Desire for continuous learning and improvement, with a flexible and adaptable mindset.
