What you will do
- Inspect welded products, raw materials, and finished products against drawings, codes, specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform visual, dimensional, receiving, and other NDE-related inspections using rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Evaluate QA hold points, fabrication travelers, test results, defects, and non-conformities.
- Record production and inspection data, complete quality documentation, and write inspection reports.
- Mark, accept, reject, or recommend corrective action for products and materials based on inspection results.
- Maintain inspection equipment, report repair or maintenance needs, and support cleanliness and safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; some college is preferred.
- Previous NDE and weld inspection experience, including a general understanding of GTAW and GMAW processes and related defects.
- Current VT, PT, or RT NDE certification, or willingness to work toward Level 2 certification.
- Ability to read blueprints, work orders, manuals, and inspection instructions.
- Organizational, communication, teamwork, multitasking, and data-entry skills, including entry-level Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid California driver’s license and an insured vehicle in good working order required.
