Purchasing Intern (Summer 2026) (Supply Chain)

Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States; willing to travel or relocate to Murfreesboro, TN for Summer 2026

Salary: $18.00–$37.00 per hour

What you will do

• Set up and maintain suppliers in the Pierce database.
• Prepare weekly reports and gather sourcing data such as estimated arrival dates and annual usage.
• Coordinate with Engineering and cross-functional teams to collect and distribute part drawings and related information.
• Maintain supplier relationships and obtain part-number cross-references.
• Process purchasing requests for non-inventory parts and services, complete tax-exempt certificates, and support ERP mass price updates.
• Support the Supplier Portal rollout, department improvement projects, past-due orders, and critical shortages.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field throughout the internship.
• Must be willing to travel or relocate to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, for Summer 2026.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while working independently and efficiently.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
