CyberSecurity Engineer - App Security

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; hybrid with onsite work required three times a week

What you will do

• Align cybersecurity initiatives with corporate objectives and coordinate project delivery with senior leadership, project managers, and stakeholders.
• Assess and communicate security risks, strategies, incident statuses, compliance effectiveness, and KPIs to senior and executive leadership.
• Develop secure communication protocols, governance frameworks, threat-detection capabilities, and incident-response procedures.
• Oversee Security Operations Center operations and integrate physical security measures with cybersecurity protocols.
• Coordinate resources, manage project progress, address risks, and deliver cybersecurity initiatives.
• Mentor cybersecurity professionals and support continuous improvement across security operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, information technology, or equivalent experience and training.
• At least 3 years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of application security vulnerabilities across Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, and other programming languages.
• Experience using Python, Java, or PowerShell for security automation and vulnerability management.
• Willingness to work onsite in Fort Worth three times per week.
• Open to H1B sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Five years of experience in cloud security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud security solutions and architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud security features.
• Experience with GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, or other regulatory standards.
• Airline industry experience or an advanced degree.
