Information Protection Advisor (Cybersecurity)

Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut, United States; hybrid work schedule. Occasional or permanent home work requires cable broadband or fiber internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

Salary: $103,100–$171,900 per year, depending on experience and geographic location. Eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Lead technical security analyses and embed security assessments into development and operational workflows.
• Define and evaluate security requirements for information processed, stored, and transmitted across systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders on secure system design, implementation, and scalable security controls.
• Assess third-party providers and outsourced solutions, including supply chain security risks.
• Design and automate security processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of security controls.
• Provide strategic guidance on secure development and operations while promoting shared responsibility for security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 2 years of experience.
• Experience automating security solutions in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
• Experience with SAST, DAST, application security posture management, vulnerability management, and SBOM evaluation.
• Hands-on experience integrating Checkmarx, BlackDuck, NowSecure, RedHat ACS, PrismaCloud, and Apiiro through scripts and triggers.
• Experience with Python-based bots, Ansible playbooks, Docker container security, and authentication and authorization design.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, and open-source licensing standards.
