What you will do
- Develop and integrate Linux Kernel features for internal use and as the base for Arista EOS.
- Extend kernel functionality and collaborate with the kernel community on upstream integration.
- Evaluate new CPUs and work with CPU and BIOS vendors to integrate their stacks into EOS.
- Bring up and qualify CPU and BIOS components on networking hardware products.
- Design, implement, debug, and optimize software features for scalability and performance.
- Own projects from definition through deployment and customer interaction while ensuring delivery quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with C or C++ and Python.
- Applied understanding of software engineering principles.
- Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to design solutions and implement them successfully.
- Experience with Linux Kernel software, IP networking, or distributed systems is beneficial.
