Senior Electronic Design Engineer (Motor Controllers)

What you will do

• Design and develop analog, digital, and power electronics for servo-drive motor controllers.
• Ensure product designs meet performance, cost, reliability, regulatory, manufacturing, and testing targets.
• Contribute to the full hardware lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture, implementation, integration, and testing.
• Participate in design reviews and business reviews within a multi-site development team.
• Deliver project goals and milestones within demanding schedules.
• Provide customer support, including reasonable travel and onsite assistance.

Requirements

• Minimum 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent in electronic or electrical engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in a relevant engineering role.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-identification, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
• Experience working in an ISO 9001, AS9100D, or EN9100 environment is relevant to the role.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of permanent magnet synchronous motor operation and control.
• Knowledge of power conversion principles, topologies, technologies, and thermal management.
• VHDL development experience.
• Experience with hard real-time embedded systems and FPGA communication with electronic devices such as A/D, D/A, and optical encoders.
• Project management experience.
