Senior Electronic Design Engineer

What you will do

• Design and develop analog, digital, and power electronics for servo-drive products.
• Define requirements, develop hardware architectures, implement designs, and perform integration and testing throughout the hardware life cycle.
• Ensure designs meet performance, cost, reliability, regulatory, design-for-manufacture, and design-for-test targets.
• Participate in design reviews and business reviews within multisite project teams.
• Deliver project goals and milestones within tight schedules.
• Provide reasonable travel and onsite customer support.

Requirements

• Minimum second-class honours degree or equivalent in electronics or electrical engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-identification, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
• Experience working in ISO 9001, EN9100, or AS9100D environments.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of permanent magnet synchronous motor operation and control.
• Knowledge of power-conversion topologies, technologies, and thermal management.
• VHDL experience and knowledge of FPGA communication with electronic devices such as A/D, D/A, and optical encoders.
• Experience developing hard real-time embedded systems.
• Project management experience.
