Associate Director, Customer Master Lead (MDM)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid: remote work up to two days per week, or on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.

Salary: $160,000–$240,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead technical ownership of the Customer Master domain within the enterprise Master Data Management strategy.
• Own the HCP/HCO customer master data product, including its published consumption layer for operational and analytics use cases.
• Lead platform modernization and cloud migration while evolving the customer-domain roadmap, architecture, ontology, and knowledge graph.
• Define data models, match/merge configuration, survivorship rules, hierarchy management, and data-quality KPIs.
• Oversee ingestion, mastering, duplicate resolution, affiliation management, healthcare organization hierarchies, and reliable downstream data propagation.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Data Governance, Validation, business stakeholders, system integrators, and MDM vendors to deliver and adopt platform capabilities.

Requirements

• On-site or hybrid attendance in Boston, MA is required under the selected Flex designation.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Master Data Management and 3+ years leading MDM programs or projects.
• Deep expertise in Customer MDM for HCP/HCO data, preferably within life sciences or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with modern MDM platforms such as Reltio or Informatica IDMC MDM, including data modeling, match/merge, survivorship, hierarchies, and golden records.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, cloud and enterprise data architecture, APIs, security, validation, compliance, and integrations with Snowflake, Veeva, Salesforce, and Oracle ERP.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare reference data sources such as OneKey, MedPro, and SP/SD data.
• Familiarity with AI/ML and large language models applied to intelligent matching, semantic enrichment, anomaly detection, and automation.
• Experience leading MDM transformation, cloud and data migration, user acceptance testing, and enterprise adoption.
